In the ancient times or let us say, in the land of Braavos in the Northern most of Essos , one of the richest and arguably the most powerful of all free cities. In the continent of Essos, they don’t have one King for the reason that each of the cities there doesn’t want to have one ruler so that is why their cities became free from being ruled. There are nine Free Cities in Essos, before it was a former colony of the Valyrian Freehold before its fall (except for Braavos, which was founded by refugees fleeing slavery in Valyria). Those nine cities are Braavos, Lorath, Lys, Myr, Norvos, Pentos, Qohor, Tyrosh, and Volantis. And each is now an independent city, competing amongst themselves for land and resources and forming various shifting alliances which are located in the most western part of Essos continent. Let’s focus for this time in the city of Braavos, where one of the great sword masters named Syrio Forel came and now he is a resident in King’s Landing. And did you know guys if what is the common greeting in Braavos in High Valyrian?
